Content Management Administration (Alfresco)
The main function of a Content Management Administrator is to perform the analysis, design,
implementation, modification, and daily functional support of Alfresco content management
systems. Configure, install, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Alfresco applications used for
enterprise content management and collaboration solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align Alfresco content
management solutions with business strategies.
- Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to technical solutions within
the Alfresco platform.
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system
implementation.
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of content management functions to resolve
problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Supports one or more highly complex business processes through Alfresco platform
optimization.
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member, ensuring timely delivery and quality
outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide
technical solutions that meet user needs.
- Administers and maintains Alfresco repositories, ensuring data integrity, security, and
compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitors and troubleshoots Alfresco system performance, resolving issues to minimize
downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
- Configures workflows, permissions, and access controls within Alfresco to meet business
requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or
related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- 5-7 years experience required in content management administration, with a focus on
Alfresco.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or scripting tools to
comprehend reading code and basic functions.
- Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage using Alfresco
content management systems.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions.
- Project management skills to handle diverse projects, often simultaneously, and meet
aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details.
- Ability to increase operating efficiency and produce high-quality technical solutions.
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other
people at their systems knowledge level.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using
multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Alfresco platform optimization, including repository management, workflow
configuration, and content retrieval.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for hosting and managing services.
- Platform support for shared infrastructure components hosted on-premises and in vendor
PaaS solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with business and technical
contacts.
- Incident and problem management experience.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to enterprise content
management.
- Experience with Alfresco integrations, including APIs and third-party tools.
