As the Cloud Architecture Manager – Public Cloud Platforms, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions for our rapidly growing organization. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Architecture, you will oversee the architecture and delivery of our public cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and scalability to support our strategic business objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Define and implement the overall cloud architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards for our public cloud platforms
- Lead a team of talented cloud architects and engineers to design, build, and deploy highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with application development, IT operations, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective cloud-based solutions
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure by continuously monitoring, optimizing, and enhancing our cloud environments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends, and implement innovative solutions to drive business value
- Mentor and develop the skills of the cloud architecture team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience as a cloud architect or in a senior technical leadership role, with a strong focus on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices, as well as expertise in cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and management
- Proficient in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Terraform, CloudFormation) used for cloud infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly solutions
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of cloud engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, networking, and security principles, and how they integrate with cloud-based architectures
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
