About the Role:
The DACA Process Engineer supports manufacturing operations through the development, optimization, and implementation of Die Attach and Clip Attach (DACA) processes. The role focuses on enhancing process capability, improving cost and quality performance, supporting new product introduction, and driving stable, robust, and lean manufacturing processes.
This position also provides technical leadership to junior engineers and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do:
- Provide line support to enable 24/7 coverage for assembly process issues.
- Monitor daily KPIs and dashboards to ensure process stability and performance.
- Identify risks in in-process controls and firewall systems to maintain stable operations.
- Perform risk assessment and scoping for processes and products.
- Conduct root cause analysis, technical simulation studies, and implement corrective actions for line and customer issues, including chronic problems.
- Drive continuous process capability improvement and establish strong process controls and firewall coverage.
- Characterize new processes or material changes and implement appropriate controls.
- Benchmark industry best practices and implement improvements.
- Increase capacity through engineering solutions and process optimization.
- Drive alternate source material qualification to improve cost and DFPC.
- Lead and support projects related to cost savings, yield improvement, and process robustness.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with knowledge of semiconductor processes and/or materials science.
- At least 4 years of experience in Front-End assembly processes, specifically Die Bond and Clip Bond.
- Basic knowledge of project management fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, DFM, MRAT, Change Management, problem-solving methodologies, and lean manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools such as SAS JMP or Minitab.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver results through teamwork, coordination, and collaboration.
- Innovative mindset with strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Customer-oriented, mature, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently, interdependently, under pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
