The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for leading and managing the online sales channels for the retail distribution company. This role involves developing and executing e-commerce strategies, enhancing the online customer experience, and driving sales growth through effective digital marketing and operational management. The E-Commerce Manager will collaborate with various teams to achieve business objectives and improve the overall online shopping experience
Duties And Responsibilities
- E-Commerce Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies that align with the companys overall business goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and emerging e-commerce trends to increase market share and revenue. - Set and manage sales targets for the e-commerce channel.
- Website Management:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.
- Work with IT and web development teams to implement new features and improvements on the website.
- Ensure the website is up-to-date with accurate product information, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Digital Marketing:
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO)/SEM, email marketing, social media, and online advertising.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve results.
- Utilize analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts.
- Customer Experience:
- Optimize the online customer journey to enhance user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Implement and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve the e-commerce platform.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective online support and service.
- Product Management:
- Manage the online product catalog, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Coordinate with the merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
- Monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
- Order Fulfillment and Logistics:
- Oversee the order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. - Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and manage returns and exchanges to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of e-commerce initiatives. - Prepare regular reports on website performance, sales, customer behavior, and digital marketing efforts.
- Use data insights to inform and adjust e-commerce strategies and actions.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the e-commerce team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and support for e-commerce activities
- Meeting customers expectations by recommending changes to product or services and websites.
- Administering and supervising E-commerce merchandising team to accomplish the company target.
- Responsible for all online activities
- Develop affiliate marketing programs.
- Create and maintain an online business plan.
- Staying up to date on software or data trends.
- Keep current knowledge of online trends.
- Updating website for new mobile or computer systems to appeal to current and future customers.
- Provide analytic reports of online sales.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO), PPC, CMS, Social Media, Email marketing.
- Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting.
- Analyze various data in order to deliver data driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs.
- Develop content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing pages development.
- Providing support for strategy development and sales performances.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably within the retail or distribution sector.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and online sales strategies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with e-commerce tools and software, such as Google Analytics, SEO tools, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing a team of people
- Ability to critique and advise E-Commerce team
- Digital marketing experience and keen interest
- In depth understanding of web design and web analytic software
- Experience in marketing and technology
- Ideally use of Adobe Photoshop, IDesign, UX, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics
- Knowledge of Bulk Editing, Multi-Attribution modelling, Bid Management across
- networks, A/B testing of adverts, Google adwords
- Educated to degree level in Digital Marketing or any related field
