Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will work with internal stakeholders to understand business questions, gather and analyze data, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will use modern data tools to collate, model, interpret and visualize insights that help the business operate more effectively.

This is a hands-on role suitable for an early-career analyst with strong analytical foundations and a passion for learning. You will work closely with senior analysts and data scientists while developing your technical and business skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract, clean, transform and validate data using SQL, PySpark, and Azure data platforms (Azure Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Databricks).
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using DAX, Power Query (M) and strong data modelling practices.
  • Produce clear and concise insight summaries for stakeholders across Sales, Customer Growth, Product, Marketing and Finance.
  • Contribute to scalable, reusable reporting solutions with high standards of data quality and accuracy.
  • Translate business questions into analytical tasks and deliver meaningful outputs.
  • Present findings in simple, compelling ways tailored for non-technical audiences.
  • Support workflow improvements, automation and documentation.
  • Foster strong data governance and consistent analytical practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree holder
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including querying, filtering, joins, aggregations and working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M) and data modelling
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, modelling, automation).
  • Familiarity with cloud analytics environments such as Azure Data Warehouse/Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or Databricks (plus).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in iterative, collaborative delivery cycles.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., trends, variance, correlations) with interest in developing further.
  • Good workflow habits (documentation, structured analysis) and comfortable working in collaborative, agile environments.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and present complex data in a user-friendly narrative.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and commitment to high data accuracy.
  • Highly organised, reliable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn new tools, techniques and business concepts.
  • Exposure to PySpark or other distributed processing tools for data manipulation will be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
