Group CISO is the core department and central driver for Information Security Governance in Synlab International.

Our mission is to ensure that the required protection measures/security reference architectures are implemented across the organization and its information assets, residual risks are assessed and managed, creating transparency towards the management & business owners helping them to make risk-aware decisions that would lead to robust security governance, risk management, compliance and resilience.

To this end, we are looking for a new member to join our team, a Cybersecurity Governance Specialist.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain ISMS and support relevant audit and certification activities.
• Develop and maintain Information Security Policies and Procedures.
• Monitor, measure and maintain compliance with Information Security Policies, but also relevant frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the organization's operational security posture, coverage & effectiveness of security capabilities & processes with actionable metrics.
• Design and implement security processes and ensure that IT processes relevant to security are designed and implemented with security considerations.
• Maintain IS Control Catalogue, and conduct IT Project / Application & Supplier Security Assessments based on the IS Control Catalogue.
• Identify the residual IS risks and steer the management of such IS risks.
• Conduct security awareness activities, training and phishing campaigns to measure the organization's aptitude for secure behavior.
• Provide information security consulting and liaison with all relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the Security Communities, fostering knowledge exchange, best practices and embedding security gateways in service teams.

What We're Looking For:

• University degree in computer science or natural sciences, or equivalent professional experience with 10+ years in Information and IT Security fields
• Expertise in information security management systems and industry standards (ISO270xx, NIS2) with experience developing security policies and procedures
• Experience in Cybersecurity Governance roles and responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Self-organized and allocates time to innovate.
• Agile mindset with practical experience in agile methodologies, ability to handle high workload with independence, judgment, and initiative
• Proficient English with excellent international communication skills, including preparing professional documentation for various audiences and senior management. Knowledge of other languages is desired.
• Understanding of AI technologies and their security implications, including risk assessment, governance, and practical enterprise use cases.
