Job Summary The Cost Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project costs, and supporting the sales, engineering, and procurement teams in developing competitive quotations for electrical panel board projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for electrical panel board projects.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and bill of materials (BOM).
• Calculate material, labor, overhead, and subcontracting costs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and sales teams to obtain accurate pricing.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations for electrical components and fabricated materials.
• Develop and maintain standard costing databases and pricing templates.
• Analyze project costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably a Licensed Electrical Engineer (if applicable).
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in cost estimating, estimation, or project engineering within the electrical panel board, switchgear, or electrical construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.
• Preferably residing in Cabuyao, Laguna or nearby areas.
