Role Description The Cost Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cebu, responsible for managing and controlling project costs across Innoland's real estate developments. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and tracking expenditures against approved allocations. The role involves analyzing cost data, forecasting financial requirements, and supporting decision-making to ensure projects are delivered within budget and aligned with financial targets. The Cost Engineer collaborates with project managers, procurement teams, and contractors to validate cost proposals, evaluate variations, and implement cost-saving measures. The role also requires maintaining accurate cost records, preparing regular cost reports, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong Cost Control and Cost Management skills, with experience overseeing project expenses from planning to completion.
- Proficiency in Cost Engineering, including preparation of cost estimates, cost analysis, and value engineering activities.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend cost-efficient solutions.
- Practical experience in Budgeting, including developing, monitoring, and updating project budgets and forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction project workflows, contracts, and procurement processes within real estate development.
- Ability to work on-site in Cebu, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, cost management or ERP systems); professional engineering license or certification is an advantage.
