Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

The Mid-Level Cost Accountant will assist in recording, monitoring, and analyzing production

costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost efficiency at Alson Sportswear Inc. This

role supports the accounting team in tracking raw materials, labor, and overhead costs

associated with manufacturing sports apparel for PROLOOK Sports (Utah, USA). The position is

ideal for a detail-oriented accounting graduate who wants to build a career in manufacturing

cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in gathering and recording cost data related to materials, labor, and factory

overhead.

-Prepare basic to advance cost summaries and assist in variance analyses (standard vs.

actual costs).

-Help maintain cost records and update standard cost sheets for new and existing

product lines.

-Support monthly inventory reconciliation and participate in physical inventory counts.

-Verify accuracy of production reports and materials issued to production.

-Assist in monitoring factory expenses and identifying cost trends.

-Coordinate with production and warehouse departments for data validation and

reporting.

-Prepare simple to advance cost-related schedules for internal reports and audits.

-Support accounting manager in month-end closing and cost analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, or Finance.
• Complex understanding of cost accounting and inventory management concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and can work under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work onsite and coordinate with production departments.
