Job Description

FUNCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT & MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role translates strategy into measurable execution with a strong focus on financial impact. The officer ensures day‑to‑day operations align with long‑term strategy while driving profitability, expense efficiency, revenue growth opportunities, and measurable ROI from strategic initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy to Value & Rewards

● Translate corporate strategy into OKRs, KPIs, and annual operating plans explicitly tied to financial targets such as revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost reduction.

● Build financial impact models for strategic initiatives showing projected revenue, cost savings, payback period, and ROI.

● Develop Best in Class awards along with Human Capital for Internal Departments and Personalities that best personifies and represents OKRs, KPI and annual plans with the targeted results.

Portfolio and Project Financial Governance

● Maintain a centralized portfolio tracker that includes financial metrics: budget, spend-to-date, forecast-to-complete, variance, and ROI for each initiative.

● Prioritize projects using a value‑based framework (NPV, IRR, cost‑to‑serve, strategic value) and recommend resource reallocation to maximize enterprise value.

● Enforce stage‑gate reviews with financial checkpoints and decision criteria for go/no‑go. KPI, OKR and Financial Performance Monitoring

● Design and maintain dashboards linking operational KPIs to financial outcomes (e.g., conversion → revenue, uptime → cost avoidance).

● Run regular performance cadence (weekly operational, monthly financial, quarterly strategic) with variance analysis and corrective action plans tied to financial thresholds.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Cost Management

● Coordinate annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; ensure budgets are aligned to strategic priorities and tracked at initiative level.

● Identify and drive expense efficiency programs (OPEX optimization, vendor consolidation, process automation) and quantify savings.

● Monitor budget vs. actuals and lead reforecast exercises when variances exceed defined thresholds.

Revenue Opportunity and Commercial Enablement

● Partner with Sales & Marketing, Product, and BI to identify and quantify new revenue streams, pricing levers, upsell/cross‑sell opportunities, and market expansion cases.

● Build business cases along with Finance for commercial initiatives and support go‑to‑market prioritization with financial sensitivity analyses.

Continuous Improvement and Value Realization

● Track continuous improvement projects and measure realized financial benefits versus projected savings; ensure benefits are captured in P&L.

● Institutionalize lessons learned and benefit‑realization processes to close the loop between project completion and financial reporting.

Reporting and Executive Support

● Produce executive scorecards and board‑level summaries that highlight financial impact, risks to targets, and recommended interventions.

● Prepare investment memos, business cases, and post‑implementation reviews with clear financial outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS NEEDED

Financial and Analytical

● Advanced financial modeling, cost‑benefit analysis, NPV/IRR, scenario and sensitivity analysis.

● Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet impacts, cash flow, and capital allocation tradeoffs.

Strategic and Operational

● Portfolio management, stage‑gate governance, and prioritization frameworks.

● OKR/KPI design and performance management with ability to link metrics to financial outcomes.

Technical and Tools

● Advanced Excel; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); project/portfolio tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana, or equivalent).

● Familiarity with FP&A systems, budgeting tools, and financial consolidation processes.

Communication and Influence

● Executive‑grade presentation skills; ability to translate complex analysis into concise,

decision‑grade recommendations.

● Stakeholder management and change leadership to drive adoption of financial discipline.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

● Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

● Preferred: Master's degree (MBA, MFin) or professional certifications (CPA, PMP, PgMP, or Certified Performance Management).

WORK EXPERIENCE

● Minimum: 4–6 years in corporate planning, strategy, PMO, or portfolio management roles with demonstrable exposure to financial modeling and business case development.

● Preferred: Experience in technology or services firms, involvement in revenue growth initiatives, cost transformation programs, and direct collaboration with executive leadership on capital allocation decisions.
