About the Company:

SMC Mass Rail Transit 7 (SMC MRT7), one of the projects under the SMC Infrastructure group, is a 22-kilometer transit system that connects Metro Manila and Bulacan province via rail. From an average of four hours by road, travel time to Bulacan via SMC MRT7 is expected cut significantly to about 35 minutes from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan. The SMC MRT-7 can ferry approximately 300,000 passengers in its first year of operations. It will have 14 stations from North Avenue, Quezon City, to San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.

Job Description

• Prepare and review contracts, and monitor compliance with the contracts and Philippine Laws.
• Knowledge of Philippine construction/contract law is preferred.
• Report any non-compliance and/or violation along with proposed corrective action.
• Track the Contracts Section's capacity, report on utilization levels of the Section staff, and manage resources accordingly.
• Provide contractual advice during the development of the conditions of the contract, as needed
• Assess and settle claims, including extension of time claims, variation orders, and disputes by Contractor, assist in the review of contractual notices of claims, and provide contractual advice to the Project Management Office.
• Moderate experience in claims assessment is required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts administration, preferably in construction, engineering, or project management
