Qualifications
Essential
- At least 2 years of experience in content writing, SEO content, or digital marketing
- Willingness and ability to work primarily within the Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST/AEDT) time zone and collaborate closely with the Australian team during business hours
- Excellent written English skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to write confidently in Australian English, including spelling, grammar, and tone
- Proven ability to create content that improves organic search performance
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, search intent, content structure, and on-page optimization
- Proficiency in using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms to support content creation
- Ability to independently research topics and transform complex information into clear, engaging content
- Strong editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills
- Ability to review and improve AI-generated content
- Comfortable working remotely as part of a distributed team
Highly Desirable
- Proficiency in SEO and content optimization tools, including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer SEO, Clearscope, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Understanding of how content performs across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences
- Ability to analyze keyword opportunities and content performance data
- Experience writing for Australian businesses and audiences

- Agency experience
- Exposure to multiple industries and subject areas
- Familiarity with Google's E-E-A-T principles and modern content quality guidelines

Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write high-quality blog articles, landing pages, category pages, service pages, FAQs, and other website content
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to support research, drafting, and content optimization
- Create informative, engaging, and SEO-friendly content
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions
- Write and optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and image alt text
- Collaborate with the SEO team to develop content that supports organic growth and backlink acquisition
- Follow content briefs and keyword strategies while writing naturally for human readers
Editing & Quality Control
- Review and enhance AI-generated content to ensure quality, accuracy, originality, and brand alignment
- Fact-check information and verify sources when required
- Edit content for grammar, spelling, readability, and tone of voice
- Ensure all content complies with client guidelines and SEO requirements
- Review content created by freelance writers when required
Learning & Development
- Stay up to date with SEO, content marketing, and AI developments
- Continuously improve writing, research, and content optimization skills
- Develop expertise in industry tools, including Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and content optimization platforms
