Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in content writing, SEO content, content marketing, or digital marketing
- Proven SEO experience is required; experience in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience using Ahrefs and Claude is required
- Demonstrated success creating content that improves organic search visibility and website performance
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles, including keyword research, search intent, content architecture, on-page optimization, and technical SEO best practices
- Exceptional written English communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to write naturally using Australian English conventions, including grammar, spelling, style, and tone
- Experience leveraging AI writing and research tools to improve content quality and efficiency
- Strong research skills with the ability to simplify complex topics into engaging, authoritative content
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and fact-checking capabilities
- Experience reviewing, refining, and elevating AI-generated content while ensuring originality and accuracy
- Willingness to work primarily within Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST/AEDT) business hours while collaborating closely with Australian stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently within a remote team environment
Highly Preferred
- Experience using SEO and content optimization platforms including SEMrush, Surfer SEO, Clearscope, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Strong understanding of content performance across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences
- Ability to interpret keyword opportunities, search performance metrics, and optimization data to improve rankings and traffic
- Experience writing SEO-focused content for Australian businesses and audiences
- Knowledge of Google's E-E-A-T framework and modern content quality standards
- Familiarity with AI search technologies including ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, Perplexity, and similar platforms

Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write high-quality blog articles, landing pages, category pages, service pages, FAQs, and other website content
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to support research, drafting, and content optimization
- Create informative, engaging, and SEO-friendly content
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions
- Write and optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and image alt text
- Collaborate with the SEO team to develop content that supports organic growth and backlink acquisition
- Follow content briefs and keyword strategies while writing naturally for human readers
Editing & Quality Control
- Review and enhance AI-generated content to ensure quality, accuracy, originality, and brand alignment
- Fact-check information and verify sources when required
- Edit content for grammar, spelling, readability, and tone of voice
- Ensure all content complies with client guidelines and SEO requirements
- Review content created by freelance writers when required
Learning & Development
- Stay up to date with SEO, content marketing, and AI developments
- Continuously improve writing, research, and content optimization skills
- Develop expertise in industry tools, including Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and content optimization platforms
