Our Company is a U.S.-based construction company focused on delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. The team specializes in efficient project management, accurate budgeting, and strong collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers.
To support continued growth, the company is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator based in the Philippines who can assist with material takeoffs, cost estimation, and bid preparation for projects involving metal framing, wood framing, drywall systems, and related construction scopes.
Role Overview
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates using Procore, Buildxact, and construction estimating best practices. This role works closely with project managers, field teams, and leadership to ensure bids are competitive and project budgets remain aligned with project goals.
The ideal candidate has strong experience estimating U.S. construction projects and understands North American construction materials, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Takeoffs
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for construction materials including:
- Metal framing
- Wood framing
- Drywall systems
- Related structural and finishing components
- Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Prepare project budgets and bid proposals
Software & Systems
- Utilize Procore to review project documentation and collaborate with project teams
- Use Buildxact for estimating, cost tracking, and bid preparation
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates and bid revisions
Bid Preparation & Cost Analysis
- Analyze project drawings and scope documents to determine required materials and labor
- Prepare cost breakdowns including labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead
- Assist in preparing competitive bid submissions
Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers and construction leadership
- Coordinate with U.S.-based suppliers and subcontractors when gathering pricing
- Participate in project review meetings as needed
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of construction estimating experience
- Experience with U.S. construction projects
- Strong experience with:
- Procore
- Buildxact
- Proven experience performing material takeoffs
- Experience estimating metal framing, wood framing, and drywall systems
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong proficiency in Excel and estimating software
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work U.S. business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CSI construction divisions
- Experience preparing RFIs, change orders, and cost updates
- Knowledge of U.S. building materials and supplier pricing
