Role Description The Compensation and Benefits Officer is responsible for managing and administering the organization's compensation and benefits programs in alignment with company policies and local regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Magallanes, requiring close collaboration with HR, finance, and department leaders. Day-to-day tasks include preparing payroll-related data, monitoring salary structures, and maintaining accurate records of employee compensation and benefits. The role also involves coordinating government-mandated benefits, health and insurance plans, and incentive schemes, as well as responding to employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits. The Compensation and Benefits Officer supports HR reporting, participates in audits, and helps recommend improvements to ensure competitive, compliant, and equitable total rewards practices.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of compensation structures, benefits administration, and payroll processes.
- Understanding of labor laws, government-mandated benefits, and compliance requirements in the Philippines.
- Proficiency in HRIS or payroll systems, and solid skills in MS Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in handling numerical data, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation and benefits topics clearly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate integrity, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in HR, payroll, or compensation and benefits roles is preferred; experience in telecommunications or IT industries is an advantage.
