About The Role
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for helping execute the delivery of the future architecture and infrastructure necessary to ensure a smooth transition of SBC to a multi-tenant, microservices-based cloud architecture. S/He implements, deploys, secures and/or manages public, private or hybrid clouds and deploys and manages cloud applications.
How You'll Contribute
- Translates the cloud strategy and architecture into a highly available and secure technical implementation in accordance with best practices; Continuously monitors and optimizes the cloud implementation for technical and cost efficiencies.
- Implements hybrid IT by integrating different cloud services with back-end, traditional data center services.
- Migrates legacy applications to a public cloud or hybrid cloud environment in a rehosting (lift and shift) approach or in a refactoring approach for efficiency, agility, and disaster recovery; Develops and coordinates cloud architecture across a variety of disparate areas within the organization.
- Collaborates with developers and owning the part of DevOps to ensure that cloud-native workloads are deployed according to IT best practices for security, governance, identity and access management, and monitoring.
- Researches, trains and advocates novel technologies and tools to ensure the latest trends and developments are considered as part of SBC's cloud infrastructure.
- Supports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence, while remaining in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 5-10 years of IT professional experience
Field of Specialization (if applicable):
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing and experience with cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code languages such as Terraform
- Experience with RedHat Openshift
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI
- Experience with networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL/TLS
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Grafana, and ELK
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with popular programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledgeable in server installation, configuration and hardening.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server Administration and O365.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
- Experience in administering Linux and Unix operating systems.
- Experience in administering virtual environment VMware.
Required/Preferred Certification/Professional License (if applicable):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
- Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
- Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
- Certified in Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
