Job Purpose:
The Cinema Operations Leader ensures the smooth, efficient, and compliant daily operation of all cinema facilities, services, and support functions within the mall. Beyond supervising the cinema team, this role actively oversees scheduling, customer concerns, snack bar operations, permits, promotions, and equipment readiness to deliver a seamless moviegoing experience. The Cinema Operations Leader sets operational standards, coaches the team on service and performance, and steps in directly when urgent operational, technical, or customer-related issues arise.
Job Scope:
1. Team Supervision & Leadership
Lead, schedule, and develop the Cinema Operations team to ensure efficient daily operations and strong service performance
2. Cinema Operations Management
Oversee daily cinema operations including screenings, manpower, snack bar operations, customer concerns, and facility readiness
3. Financial & Administrative Management
Support budgeting, reporting, cash handling, and performance monitoring to ensure operational efficiency
4. Marketing & Partnerships
Support promotions, events, rentals, and partnerships that drive cinema revenue and customer engagement
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, permits, and regulatory requirements
6. Other
Provide hands-on support across cinema operations and other business needs as required
Qualifications
• Graduate of Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management with equivalent certification courses
• Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in Cinema Operations Management
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications specifically MS Word, Powerpoint, MS Excel and MS Visio as well as other specialized softwares like SAP or Oracle
• Strong oral and written communication skills including negotiation, presentation, facilitation and training all levels of the organization
• With strategic, result/data driven, process orientation and risk-based approach mindset
