Position: Central Clearing Head

Job Summary: The Central Clearing Head supervises day‑to‑day back‑room operations and service delivery, ensuring compliance with policies, audit requirements, and service level commitments while maintaining zero operational losses. It drives productivity, cost efficiency, and quality service through effective workforce planning, process control, and continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma projects. The position proactively identifies and resolves operational issues, manages complaints, and ensures processes meet defined quality and sigma standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision of back room operations and service delivery of the Team, ensuring:
- Compliance to regulations and policies (pass audit and controls activities)
- Zero operational losses (no losses due to frauds, irregularities, negligence & errors)
- Proper complaints management (all customer complaints/feedback are immediately addressed to the satisfaction of the clients)
- Optimum productivity (streamlined operations, at least 90% efficiency index)
- Minimum operations cost (waste elimination and regulated overtime expenses)
- Adherence to established production processes, design, and specifications
- Delivery of Quality Service
- Comply with Service Level Commitments
- Acknowledged properly and immediately address and resolved customer complaints to their satisfaction
- Ensure that processes under supervision met the acceptable sigma level
- Identify potential problem situations through brainstorming of Team members and draws plans to address such potential problems
- Manage Efficient Processes
- Ensure staffing in the Team is appropriate to manage workload with minimal overtime, meet approved production schedules and within budgeted cost
- Evaluates weekly manpower needs and act appropriately to comply with commitments at minimal cost
- Review operating data and investigate deviations from anticipated performance. Initiate and implement necessary corrective action
- Direct plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets
- Evaluates training needs of Team members and facilitate their cross training and prepare development plan for them
- Ensure that performance evaluation and mentoring of Team members are regularly done
- Evaluates recommended continuous improvement plans, possible 6 sigma projects and related activities and lead/support its implementations
- Performs other duties that are required of the CCU Unit Head and the Bank
- Compliance with Policies and Standards
- Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit
- Ensure that the Team pass all audit and controls exercises by maintaining a low risk rating
- Implement periodic self-audit to ensure compliance of processes and quality service delivery standards
- Manage and monitors compliance on Control Plans and Control Functions Checklists
- Implements and comply with safety programs and housekeeping
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must have experience in payments and clearing
- Must have knowledge in Operations Management in managing teams
- Basic MS functions - excel, powerpoint, word
- Savy in the use of generative AI tools
- Knowledge in six sigman / lean systems and management
