Job Summary

The Buyer is responsible to manage new product (NP) and transferred packaging requirements while ensuring uninterrupted supply continuity. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors, handling day-to-day purchasing operations, and supporting supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for new products (NP) and transferred packaging items
• Ensure continuous supply of packaging materials to support operations
• Handle daily purchasing transactions and monitor order status
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with Design Engineering (DE), Project Management (PM), Global Commodity Management (GCM), and suppliers/vendors
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including price negotiation and performance management
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control, logistics, and production planning activities
• Identify and resolve supply issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and ensure data integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Engineering)
• At least 1 - 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably handling direct BOM materials
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain operations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ERP procurement systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
• Background in inventory management, logistics, and planning
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
