The Business Intelligence Engineer is part of the data science team, creating analytical solutions and self-service reporting to support insurance and reinsurance underwriting. This role transforms complex data into actionable insights, develops Power BI dashboards, and collaborates with business and technical teams to improve data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and support reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and other tools.
- Gather requirements, analyze data, and work with developers to deliver accurate reporting solutions.
- Provide end-user training and post-production support.
- Ensure quality through testing and validation of reports and analytics.
- Engage in Agile processes and continuous learning to enhance reporting capabilities.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Python, Snowflake, and data modeling.
- Understanding of insurance processes and analytics for underwriting and claims.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to business users and manage client-facing projects.
- Familiarity with SDLC, structured and unstructured data, GitHub, and Agile methodology.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in reporting/data analytics or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
