Role Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain data solutions that support strategic and operational decision across the region. In this role, you will transform raw data into trusted, decision metrics and insight products through well-- making ready modeled datasets, dashboards, and strong data quality practices.

You will work closely with cross functional stakeholders (Commercial, Insights, Product, and Operations) to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions. You will also leverage modern analytics practices - including responsible use of AI tools development, improve documentation, and enhance quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, data models, and data marts in Amazon Redshift (PostgreSQL-compatible) to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Build and maintain Apache Superset dashboards and datasets (where applicable), ensuring consistent definitions and reliable refresh behavior across BI platforms.
  • Own metric quality and consistency: validate results across sources/tools, investigate discrepancies, and maintain clear documentation for business logic, calculation rules, and metric definitions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, scope solutions, and deliver actionable insights that support campaign planning, performance tracking, and strategic decision- making.
  • Establish and follow BI development best practices (version control, naming conventions, reusable components, QA checklists) to improve reliability and scalability.
  • Use AI tools to optimize workflows (e.g., accelerate query drafting, improve documentation, generate QA checks) while ensuring all outputs are validated, explainable, and compliant with confidentiality and data handling standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data role with hands-on dashboard development.
  • Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred) with experience writing performant, maintainable queries.
  • Experience working with Amazon Redshift or a similar cloud data warehouse. Hands-on experience with Tableau, Apache Superset, or any other visualization tool, including dashboard performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, data marts) and BI semantic consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot metric discrepancies across tools and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data transformation workflows (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or equivalent).
  • Basic to intermediate Python for data manipulation, automation, or validation.
  • Experience working in healthcare, pharma, or other data-heavy/regulated industries.
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (e.g., copilots, LLM-based assistants) to improve productivity, with strong judgment for validation and data privacy.
