Job Summary

The Head of Business Development leads the company's growth and expansion strategy by identifying high-value opportunities, securing strategic locations, strengthening key partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role is responsible for overseeing site acquisition, expansion planning, lease negotiations, and market analysis, while providing data-driven recommendations on new store openings, relocations, or closures. The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership capability to align expansion initiatives with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the overall business development and expansion strategy aligned with company growth targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure high-potential locations for expansion through comprehensive market research, demographic analysis, foot traffic studies, and financial feasibility assessments.
  • Lead negotiations with property lessors, landlords, developers, and mall operators to secure commercially advantageous lease terms and agreements.
  • Conduct in-depth business performance analysis to recommend store expansion, relocation, downsizing, or closure based on profitability and strategic value.
  • Oversee feasibility studies, financial modeling, ROI analysis, and payback projections for new and existing outlets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, developers, partners, and Local Government Units (LGUs).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee coordination with LGUs for permits and expansion approvals.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure successful project rollout and operational readiness of new stores.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall portfolio performance, providing regular strategic reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team to drive performance and accountability.
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations, networking events, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Development, with a proven track record in a leadership role driving expansion and revenue growth.
  • Proven experience in the food and beverage and retail industry.
  • Strong background in negotiating commercial lease agreements with lessors, developers, and mall operators.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify prime expansion locations using market intelligence, site analysis, and financial feasibility studies.
  • Strong analytical capability in evaluating outlet performance and recommending store expansion, relocation, or closure.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in ROI analysis, profitability assessment, and capital investment evaluation.
  • Willing to travel as required.
