QUALIFICATION:
EDUCATION :Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
TRAINING : At least 35 hours relevant training.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the power or energy sector.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the power generation, distribution, and energy services markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare and review business proposals, feasibility studies, and financial models to assess potential projects and partnerships.
- Conduct market research and analysis to monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, legal, and finance teams to develop and negotiate contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and joint ventures.
- Support bidding processes for government and private sector energy projects.
- Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline of leads and opportunities; provide regular forecasts and reports to management.
- Promote the company's brand and capabilities at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, environmental standards, and corporate governance policies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
