Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive business growth by identifying new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's logistics services portfolio. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, has a strong understanding of the logistics industry, and excels at building and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in logistics and supply chain services.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, potential clients, and service gaps.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development and sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Track business development performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in business development or sales within logistics, transportation, or supply chain services.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and business analytics tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
