Job Description

The ideal candidate is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, and achieving/assisting in the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. Will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on his/her interactions with prospects.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
  2. Conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, internet and in person.
  3. Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  4. Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
  5. Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
  6. Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects; including cold-calling.
  7. Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
  8. Set up and deliver sales presentation.
  9. Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
  10. Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  11. Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell.
  12. Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales.
  13. Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  14. Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
  15. Travel is required.
  16. Other duties which may be assigned as needed.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred; Minimum of three years experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc.

  1. Research experience is a plus with excellent communication, organization and follow-up skills.
  2. Excellent sales and customer relationship skills.
  3. Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  4. Abilities to work independently, manage time wisely and prioritize tasks.
  5. Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Etc.).
