Job Description
DAILY FACILITY UPKEEP & INSPECTIONS
- Perform daily inspection of buildings, offices, equipment, furniture, and facility systems. This includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), lighting system, fire protection, life safety, security, and communications and internet systems.
- Monitor lighting systems across the office to replace burnt-out bulbs or fluorescent tubes as needed, and inspect the CCTV system annually or as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in utility rooms, storage areas, and common maintenance spaces.
- Monitor and restock basic facility supplies
- Perform basic carpentry and fixture repairs, including adjusting office desks, fixing cabinet hinges, and repairing door handles or locks.
- Carry out minor cosmetic touch-ups, such as patch-painting walls, repairing drywall dents, or fixing loose flooring/molding.
- Address simple plumbing issues, including unblocking toilets, fixing minor faucet leaks, or replacing washers.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely to complete routine repair requests submitted by employees.
- Monitor, manage, and coordinate all necessary repairs and maintenance requests across other designated Diestro Properties to ensure facilities remain in optimal condition.
- Assist in arranging, moving, and assembling office furniture and equipment for new hires or department transfers.
- Set up physical layouts, chairs, tables, and basic audio-visual supports for company events, meetings, or town halls.
- Help receive, haul, and organize bulky office deliveries, tracking materials to their assigned storage areas.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact to guide, escort, and monitor specialized external contractors (e.g., HVAC technicians, pest control, major electrical plumbers) during complex repairs.
- Ensure all fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and safety signage are unobstructed and compliant with basic safety rules.
- Report any major structural or technical building defects immediately to management for external sourcing.
- Reports any equipment defects, incidents, and corrective actions taken to the Finance & Admin Head and implements instructions for matters requiring immediate action.
- Completes necessary repair documentation and service information.
- Maintains a logbook record and logs PMS for building equipment, facilities status, and repair activities.
- Submits a record of daily, weekly, & monthly calendar of work activities to the admin officer.
- Assist in preparing purchase of request (PRF) for tools, materials, & replacement parts needed for maintenance work.
- Ensure proper labelling of assets and storage of maintenance & supplies.
- Builds meaningful relationships with internal customers & business partners.
- Collaborate and communicate well, understand the needs of co-workers, and show appreciation and compliments genuinely.
