Major duties, and responsibilities of Building Engineer
- Has experienced in Facility Management/Maintenance
- Operate, monitor, and maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, generators, and pumps).
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns and system failures.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules and reports.
- Supervise contractors and service providers during repairs and maintenance works.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and government regulations (e.g., BFP, DOLE, LGU).
- Conduct regular inspections of building facilities and equipment.
- Respond to emergencies such as power failures, flooding, fire alarms, and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and inventory of spare parts.
- Coordinate with property managers, tenants, and other departments regarding technical concerns.
- Recommend improvements for energy efficiency and cost reduction.
