As Optimo continues to grow, we're looking for a Bookkeeper who can bring structure, precision, and accountability to financial operations.
What You'll Do
Daily Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile all transactions, including sales, receipts, and disbursements.
- Maintain accurate ledgers across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Manage AR: invoicing, collections, issuance of official receipts, aging reports, and follow-ups.
- Manage AP: bill entry, 3-way matching (PO/GRN/Invoice), payment preparation, and tracking.
- Perform daily reconciliations (bank, e-wallets, credit cards) and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Handle petty cash and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain fixed asset and inventory records, including depreciation schedules.
- Prepare daily financial summaries such as cash position, AR/AP status, and expense trackers.
- Draft VAT, EWT, and FWT compliance schedules for review.
- Support payroll validation and journal posting.
Weekly & Monthly
- Perform reconciliations across all accounts (bank, e-wallets, credit cards, intercompany).
- Prepare month-end schedules for AR, AP, prepaids, accruals, and inventory.
- Assist in month-end closing and audit preparation.
- Contribute to process improvements by developing templates and automating recurring reports.
What You'll Bring
- TESDA Bookkeeping Certificate.
- Strong understanding of Philippine accounting standards and tax compliance (VAT, EWT, FWT).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivot tables).
- Experience using accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Netsuite, or SAP B1.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing high transaction volumes.
- Excellent communication skills, organization, and integrity.
What Success Looks Like (First 6090 Days)
- 100% of daily postings completed with no unmatched items older than 3 days.
- Accurate and up-to-date reconciliations with clear AR/AP aging reports.
- Month-end schedules consistently submitted between WD+3 and WD+5.
- Compliance calendar maintained with timely draft tax schedules.
Work Setup & Hours
- Location: Ortigas, Pasig (Full-time Onsite)
- Schedule: Day Shift, standard Philippine business hours (flexibility during close/audit periods)
