Position Title: Bookkeeper
Position Description:
RemoteVA is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, and payments
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
- Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments
- Monitor financial transactions for discrepancies and resolve issues
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Organize and maintain financial records and documentation
Required Software Programs:
- QuickBooks
- Microsoft Excel
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (e.g., formulas, data organization, basic analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
