The Qualifications We Seek
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers with end-to-end loan application management
- Strong knowledge of Australian mortgage processing workflows, lender policies, documentation requirements, and loan submission processes
- Proven experience using ApplyOnline and lender portals to prepare, package, submit, and track mortgage applications
- Ability to independently complete servicing assessments and borrowing capacity calculations
- Experience managing PAYG, self-employed, owner-occupier, investment, first home buyer, and complex lending applications
- Proven experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing multiple loan applications simultaneously
- Ability to interpret lender requirements, identify suitable loan structures, and support compliant application submissions
- Experience with Quickli, Mercury Nexus, SMSF lending, and multiple Australian lenders is highly regarded
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and follow-through
Your Daily Tasks
- Produce accurate, compliant, and lender-ready submissions with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth application progression, reduced rework, and positive customer outcomes.
- Review PAYG income documents, self-employed financial statements, bank records, credit reports, and supporting documentation to identify inconsistencies, potential risks, missing information, and compliance concerns.
- Manage mortgage applications throughout the full loan lifecycle, from initial inquiry to settlement, including submission preparation, ApplyOnline lodgment, stakeholder coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
- Prepare detailed credit recommendations, compliance records, and comprehensive file notes while adhering to Australian lending regulations, NCCP requirements, and responsible lending obligations.
- Assess borrower circumstances, complete servicing and borrowing capacity assessments, evaluate financial positions, and determine suitable lending solutions based on Australian lender policies and guidelines.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, brokers, lenders, and stakeholders by providing timely updates, gathering required information, coordinating follow-ups, and managing escalations for complex scenarios.
