Your Role
As an AU Loan Processor , you are responsible for:
- Accurate data entry into the CRM – current exposure to Salesforce desirable and ApplyOnline.
- Preparation of Preliminary Assessments and Credit Proposals.
- Generating compliance documents (Credit Guide, Quote, Needs Analysis).
- Reviewing client documents (payslips, bank statements, ID) for accuracy and policy niches.
- Ordering property valuations and upfront credit reports.
- Ensuring all files meet Best Interests Duty (BID) requirements and internal compliance standards.
- Liaising with BDMs and credit assessors to track application progress.
- Proactively managing More Info requests from lenders to prevent delays.
- Updating clients regularly on their application status to ensure a premium experience.
- Coordinating with solicitors and lenders for smooth settlements.
- Conducting post-settlement audits and setting up Annual Reviews in the CRM.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience specifically supporting Australian Mortgage Brokers.
- Technical Proficiency: High-level experience with ApplyOnline and at least one major Australian Aggregator CRM (e.g.,Salesforce Salestrekker, Mercury, MyCRM)
- English Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English. The candidate must be comfortable calling Australian lenders and potentially speaking with clients to request documents.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies in bank statements or payslips that could lead to a lender decline.
- Home Office Setup: Reliable high-speed internet, noise-cancelling headset, and a power backup solution (essential for offshore stability).
- Scenario Knowledge: Ability to research lender niches (e.g., using Quickli or lender matrices) to suggest which bank fits a client's profile.
- Software Extras: Experience with BankStatements.com.au, CashDeck, or Illion.
- Loan Structuring: Understanding the difference between Offset vs. Redraw, and LMI thresholds.
- Proactivity: A file owner mindset—someone who doesn't just wait for a task but looks at the pipeline and sees what needs to be done next.
