You own the daily financial integrity and workflow for an Australian accounting firm, ensuring that client accounts are precise, reconciled, and compliance-ready. Your role operates through the end-to-end management of payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and the preparation of integrated data for Business Activity Statements (BAS).

This is not a simple data-entry position. You are responsible for maintaining the heartbeat of offshore financial operations, requiring high accuracy in bank reconciliations and month-end reporting. Best suited for accounting professionals who thrive in structured environments, value technical precision in Xero, and prefer clear, documented workflows over ambiguity.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 25 years of experience in bookkeeping/payroll or a related field
• A strong background in Xero and bookkeeping principles
• Proven experience in bookkeeping across different industries/markets
• Proficiency in Xero, Asana, Zoom, and Spreadsheet/Excel

STRONG SIGNALS

Financial Data Integrity

You own the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring every transaction is captured, categorized, and reconciled without delay.

• Execute daily bank reconciliations and data entry across various client accounts
• Manage accounts receivable and payable cycles to maintain healthy cash flow
• Prepare and integrate financial data required for BAS lodgments

Payroll & Compliance Management

You ensure that payroll operations are seamless and comply with Australian regulatory standards.

• Process payroll cycles accurately and on schedule
• Prepare superannuation payments and maintain up-to-date employee records
• Ensure all financial operations align with established Australian accounting protocols

Workflow & Reporting

You maintain transparency and momentum in the accounting pipeline through disciplined reporting and communication.

• Deliver comprehensive month-end reports to the AU-based leadership team
• Utilize Asana and Zoom to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow visibility
• Identify and escalate discrepancies early to ensure continuous financial accuracy
