Assistant Accounting Manager

Location: Clark, Cebu, Tarlac, or Manila, Philippines

Work Arrangement: Remote, Full-time

Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT

Salary Range: Php 110,000 - Php 140,000

As an Assistant Accounting Manager, you are a critical technical leader and mentor within our public practice division. This role is designed for a high-level professional who balances advanced technical execution with people leadership. You won't just be reviewing files; you will be driving the quality of financial reporting, navigating complex Australian tax legislation, and shaping the professional growth of the next generation of accountants.

Your Impact

  • Technical Quality Control: Lead the preparation and rigorous review of financial statements and tax returns for a diverse portfolio, including Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and SMSFs. You ensure all lodgments—including BAS, IAS, and FBT returns—are accurate and compliant.
  • Team Mentorship & Growth: Act as a dedicated mentor to junior team members. You are responsible for reviewing their work, providing constructive technical feedback, and supporting their professional development to maintain the firm's high standards of excellence.
  • Strategic Advisory & Tax Planning: Move beyond compliance to provide high-value strategic tax planning and business advisory support. You will conduct in-depth tax research to ensure clients are optimized within the bounds of relevant Australian legislation.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work as a trusted partner to Managers and Partners on complex accounting matters and special projects. You bridge the gap between high-level firm strategy and daily technical execution.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Stay at the forefront of Australian Accounting Standards and tax law. Your analytical skills will be used to solve complex problems and provide clarity on intricate compliance requirements.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:At least 5 years of experience in public practice, with a proven track record in a Supervisor or Assistant Manager role. You have significant experience handling a varied entity mix.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong, up-to-date technical knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance frameworks. You are comfortable navigating the complexities of FBT, SMSF compliance, and strategic planning.
  • The Credentials: Tertiary qualification in Accounting.
  • The Mindset: An analytical problem-solver who can work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment. You possess a leader-as-coach mentality and a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Communication Prowess: Excellent verbal and written English skills, essential for explaining complex tax concepts to team members and collaborating with Australian-based partners.
