Job Summary:
As a Application Support Engineer within the Securities Services team, you will support the development of innovative pricing, risk, and trade management tools across all asset classes and financial instruments. You will work on complex problems at the intersection of finance and technology, partnering closely with clients to shape the product roadmap and influence the commercialization strategy. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Providing business facing technology support to business and operations groups across the Asia Pacific region.
Working within a follow-the-sun support model with global counterparts
Develop and support automation tooling to improve the reliability of the platform and to increase the productivity of the team
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
4+ Years of experience in Technology for Financial and Banking sector
Functional and technical skills in domain: Trade Life cycle to settlement, Position Management, Valuation, Asset Servicing
Support Management skills: Design and Use Monitoring Dashboards for day to day Support, Generate Service KPIs, reports on service stability and performance, Log & Message bus monitoring: Splunk ELK Geneos AppDynamics, DynaTrace.
A proven track record of running Incident & Problem Management calls for business impacting outages, performing post incident analysis, identifying & implementing preventative measures and lessons learned following outages
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Experience supporting Linux and RDBMS based applications.
Scripting languages such as: Perl, Python, Linux/UNIX shell
Database: Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, Casandra, Snowflake
Telemetry & Application Performance monitoring tools such as: Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, ITRS Geneos
Schedulers - Control-M / Autosys
Ideally: AWS experience & certification: experience with core AWS services such as: EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, Cloudwatch & DataDog
Prior experience in JAVA development is a plus
Expertise in Excel, Macro and PowerPoint will be an advantage
