Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that involve identifying and resolving issues within critical business systems. Your typical day will include collaborating with team members to troubleshoot software problems, analyzing system performance, and implementing solutions to enhance system functionality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve application issues. - Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference. - Provide training and support to team members on application functionalities. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance service delivery. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV. - Strong understanding of application support and maintenance processes. - Experience with database management and SQL. - Familiarity with system integration and data migration techniques. - Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 1 year of experience in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV. - This position is based at our Manila office.
