Senior Application Support Engineer

CIB ITO Production maintains stable, secure platforms that support critical services for Global Markets, Global Banking, Client & Employee, ALM&T, Regulatory & Control IT, and BP2S, helping the business accelerate delivery and timetomarket while managing operational risk.

Role Purpose

Join the Global Prime Brokerage Production Support team and provide frontoffice application support for the Global Prime Finance business worldwide. You will work closely with traders, developers, business analysts, middleoffice, and infrastructure teams, acting as the first line of defence for the Margin and Risk production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

Resolve user, system and infrastructure incidents quickly and effectively.

Perform daily, weekly and weekend healthchecks to ensure system readiness.

Monitor alerts using Geneos/Dynatrace and drive continuous improvement of monitoring processes.

Platform Improvement:

Lead initiatives to boost stability, resiliency and capacity of Prime Finance systems in APAC.

Contribute to automation and applicationresilience programmes.

Project & Change Management

Projectmanage the integration of the new Prime Solutions & Financing platform.

Plan, review and execute production releases, coordinating with business owners, developers, infrastructure and QA to minimise changerelated incidents.

Own releasegatekeeping, ensuring all changes are documented, scheduled and approved.

Governance & Compliance

Chair productiongovernance meetings with a compliance focus.

Handle incident, problem and change management tickets following CIB standards.

Participate in annual DR drills and coordinate DR activities.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Engage with heads of trading desks, technology managers and global counterparts to align on issue resolution and improvement priorities.

Work in a followthesun model, providing oncall coverage and shift support as needed.

Automation & Efficiency

Identify repetitive tasks and develop scripts or bots to automate them.

Support rollout of new services and ensure a consistent global approach to problem solving.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical:

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure: Windows & Linux servers, databases (SQL, Oracle, Sybase).

Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell.

Batch scheduling: Autosys, ControlM.

Monitoring tools: Geneos, Dynatrace.

Container orchestration: Kubernetes.

Functional

Proven ability to manage complex change in a large, regulated environment.

Selfstarter with a resultsdriven attitude; can work through blockers independently.

Excellent prioritisation, communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.

Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities.

Experience working across regions, cultures and time zones.
