Role Overview

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization through the precise and timely processing of supplier invoices and payment runs. Your daily responsibilities will involve converting approved purchase orders into invoices using MYOB, ensuring all expenses are allocated to the correct job codes and general ledger accounts, and consistently managing bank reconciliations. This position also provides an opportunity for clear communication with the internal finance lead while working in a fully remote setting that promotes flexibility and accountability.

In this dynamic position, your expertise in MYOB and Microsoft Excel will enable you to execute payment reports and manage supplier documentation effectively. You'll need to ensure that all financial processes are streamlined, especially during key operational periods such as month-end and pre-holiday bulk supplier payments, embracing a proactive approach to prevent overdue payments and maintain clean accounts payable records.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• 2–3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a combined AP/AR role

• Proficiency in MYOB, particularly in AP processing and bank reconciliations

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial checks and reconciliations

• Exposure to Salesforce (not mandatory)

• Experience in professional services, consulting, or similar environments preferred

Strong Signals

• Diploma or qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping (preferred but not required)

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks, especially during peak periods

• A keen eye for detail, ensuring no missed or overdue supplier payments
