JOB DESCRIPTION
Satellite Teams is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team, supporting a US company based in CA. As an integral member of the operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse range of accounting transactions. The successful candidate will oversee various financial aspects, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets.
IMPORTANT:
This role is fully remote, in a PACIFIC STANDARD TIME schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process vendor payables and invoices efficiently using Bill.com.
- Conduct follow-ups with staff members to address missing timesheets promptly.
- Receive and deposit payments using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and accurately record transactions in Pipe.
- Generate journal entries for bank transfers and communicate with the Finance & Accounting Analyst to initiate CBB transfers.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Accounting Analyst to fulfill billing requests efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience as a General Accountant.
- Demonstrated excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with Excel/Google Sheets, coupled with a willingness to explore its full functionality, including tables and functions.
- Previous experience with general ledger functions is essential.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy in all tasks.
- Uphold strong ethics and integrity, demonstrating trustworthiness and reliability.
- Communicate articulately and concisely in both written and verbal English.
- Exhibit a capacity to adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Banking and Finance, or a relevant field.
- CPA certification is a plus.
