Accounting Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific time, with a 1-hour unpaid break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support a growing finance and accounting team. This role is essential for maintaining financial accuracy, managing high-risk work orders, and ensuring timely processing of financial transactions. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to property management or remote finance operations, and is eager to contribute to an international, fast-moving business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and escalate high-risk work orders for timely resolution
  • Process security deposit refunds in compliance with company policies
  • Audit and manage company purchases, including Amazon and American Express accounts
  • Review and audit employee timesheets for payroll and reporting accuracy
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely, accurate recording of transactions
  • Audit tenant ledgers and maintain accurate property financial records
  • Bill back utilities (e.g., water, gas, trash, pest control) to tenant or owner accounts
  • Coordinate with vendors, utility providers, and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy
  • Support monthly financial audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Maintain and follow established financial policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role (real estate or property management experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in accounting software or property management platforms (AppFolio experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in financial data
  • Analytical mindset to identify financial risks and discrepancies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team and vendor coordination
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fully remote setup

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
