Accounting Staff
Position Overview
The Accounting Staff is responsible for performing day-to-day financial and accounting tasks to support the Finance/Accounting Department. This role ensures accuracy in financial records, assists in preparing reports, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and verify daily financial transactions (e.g., sales, expenses, disbursements).
- Prepare and process vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment documents.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and documentation.
- Assist in bank reconciliation, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) monitoring.
- Update and maintain general ledger entries and journals.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners (suppliers, auditors, banks).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as required
Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Preferably with 12 years of accounting experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, professionalism, and high regard for confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with government compliance requirements (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) for PH-based roles.
- Experience with bookkeeping or payroll is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
