Accounting Manager

(U.S. Company | Full-time Remote)

Build the finance function behind a fast-growing US acquisition platform.

We're partnering with a rapidly growing US-based company that acquires and scales residential home service businesses across the United States.

This isn't a traditional Accounting Manager role.

You'll become one of the earliest finance hires, working directly with the VP/ Controller to help build the accounting infrastructure that supports an expanding portfolio of operating companies. If you're someone who enjoys improving processes, creating structure, and taking ownership—not just maintaining the status quo—this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.

This is a fully remote position supporting US Eastern Time business hours.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations while helping establish scalable financial processes that will support future growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the month-end close process across multiple operating entities
• Prepare journal entries and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including financial statements and variance analysis
• Maintain weekly KPI reporting for leadership
• Help improve accounting workflows, controls, and documentation
• Support ERP implementation and ongoing system optimization
• Assist with accounting integration for newly acquired businesses, including opening balance sheets and post-acquisition accounting activities
• Collaborate directly with executive leadership to improve finance operations

What We're Looking For

We're less interested in checking every technical box and more interested in finding someone who enjoys building.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience owning the complete month-end close process
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual accounting
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reports
• Excellent balance sheet reconciliation experience
• Experience improving accounting processes or implementing operational efficiencies
• Strong ERP experience (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset

• Public accounting experience
• Multi-entity accounting

• Acquisition or post-acquisition accounting
• Consolidation experience
