About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the daily delivery and performance of a multi-process finance and support operations portfolio.
The role will oversee assigned accounting processes, HR coordination and data support, Business Operations Portal activities, and other approved support functions. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for service delivery, team leadership, controls, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across assigned Accounting and Other Support Group processes.
- Ensure service delivery, accuracy, timeliness, quality, productivity, and backlog targets are consistently achieved.
- Monitor operational risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, implementing recovery or stabilization plans when needed.
- Establish clear ownership, controls, documentation, capacity plans, targets, and escalation paths across processes.
People & Workforce Leadership
- Lead and manage APMs and assigned operational teams through clear expectations, coaching, performance management, and development.
- Oversee staffing, attendance, workforce coverage, onboarding, cross-training, succession, and backup planning.
- Ensure effective team readiness and continuity of operations.
- Drive knowledge sharing, process documentation, and leadership development.
Governance & Controls
- Ensure reliable and accurate operational, financial, HR coordination, MIS, and governance information.
- Maintain appropriate controls, approvals, reconciliations, confidentiality, data protection, and audit documentation.
- Partner with Finance, HR, Operations, QA, WFM, Training, Recruitment, IT, and Transformation teams to resolve operational dependencies.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities for process standardization, workflow simplification, automation, reporting enhancement, and control strengthening.
- Use operational data, volume, aging, quality, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure process improvements are documented, implemented, communicated, and sustained.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates on operational performance, risks, recovery actions, and improvement initiatives.
- Escalate material service, financial, data, policy, client, or business continuity risks appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 7–10 years of experience in finance, shared services, or multi-process operations.
- At least 3 years of experience in people and/or process management.
- Experience managing multiple processes or operational workstreams is highly preferred.
- Preferably a CPA license holder.
- Strong knowledge of finance operations, process controls, reconciliations, service delivery, and operational governance.
- Proficient in Excel, reporting, and performance management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operational risks, and execute recovery or improvement initiatives.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee-related information with discretion.
- Willingness to support client-aligned shifts and operational requirements when needed.
