Job Description

  • Oversee general accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, BIR filings (W/Tax, VAT, ITR and other BIR filings), and other statutory requirements.
  • Handle costing, inventory accounting, and importation-related financial documentation.
  • Coordinate with Procurement/ Customs brokers and logistics partners regarding importation expenses and VAT documentation.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and project profitability reports. Including consolidation of Parent and Subsidiary financial reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal counsel as needed.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Handle BIR audits, including direct coordination with examiners and proper response to Letters of Authority (LOA).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. MBA is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of solid accounting experience, ideally in a project-based or importation­ driven business.
  • Strong background in tax compliance, including preparation of financial and income tax returns.
  • Hands-on experience in handling BIR audits with Letters of Authority (LOA), including document preparation and audit resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and customs-related processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the renewable energy or construction industry is a plus.
