Job Title: Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting tasks for multiple complex clients. The Accounting Manager will function as a contributing team member to their assigned team, working with other Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, Staff Accountants, HR Generalists, Payroll Specialists, and the team's Controller and Assistant Controller. From time to time, the Accounting Manager may be asked to assist other team members or help with coverage of other team member's clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively interact with and support the client team in maintaining GAAP financials while meeting agreed upon deadlines and commitments by:
- Performing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations including revenue, Inventory and intercompany/ consolidations.
- Performing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for multiple clients including those with currency considerations.
- Advanced payroll processing using multiple payroll software.
- Effectively communicating with Client, CFOs, and staff to understand and document priorities and work status.
- Support client and team with timely response to information requests
- Develop an understanding of the client's business.
- Demonstrate commitment to client success. Become familiar with project scope and tool sets required.
- Seek and communicate ways to improve client satisfaction.
- Take ownership of work and follow tasks through to completion.
- Utilize research and knowledge management channels.
- Use and comply with company practices, standards, procedures, tools and methodologies.
- Effectively interact with and support other staff, management and internal staff performing all necessary administrative responsibilities in a timely, positive, and respectful manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience. A Master's Degree or CPA designation.
- Minimum of ten (10) years as an accounting professional. Must have prior experience in providing all account reconciliations, and some level of financial statements preparation with a high level of complexity.
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a variety of different industries and circumstances.
- Proven research and analytical skills showing ability to reach logical conclusion and application to client situations.
- Demonstrated high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel familiar with higher formulas (i.e. pivot tables, IF statements, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Proficiency with various online business tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Prior experience with: revenue, inventory, currencies and/or intercompany.
- Prior experience in multi-entity or startup clients (strongly recommended).
