Leads and oversees the end-to-end delivery of tax accounting engagements, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and business profitability. The role is accountable for managing client portfolios, optimizing service delivery systems, guiding team performance, and ensuring compliance with both client and company standards. The position also plays a strategic role in improving business processes, driving financial performance, and building long-term client relationships through effective governance and advisory.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Operations & Financial Leadership
- Operational Excellence: Oversees the end-to-end service delivery for Continnum, ensuring resource planning, onboarding, and project execution align with corporate values.
- Financial Oversight: Manages annual revenue portfolios (typically 15M20M), focusing on account profitability, billing efficiency, and team utilization.
- System Innovation: Leads the design and deployment of digital tax technologies and improved operating procedures to drive efficiency and continuous growth.
- People & Performance Management
- Leadership: Directly mentors Team Leaders and Junior Managers, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and team spirit.
- Talent Development: Manages the full employee lifecycle, from initial interviewing and onboarding to creating long-term professional development plans and performance evaluations.
- Productivity: Reviews budget vs. actual time charges to ensure the team is loaded effectively and meeting service quality standards.
- Executive Client & Engagement Management
- High-Level Advisory: Represents the firm at Client Board and ExeCom meetings, presenting complex financial dashboards, tax compliance results, and strategic insights.
- Business Development: Spearheads the growth of the Practice Unit by developing engagement roadmaps, preparing Bill of Activities (BOA), and securing signed proposals.
- Client Success: Ensures 100% SLA compliance and manages the overall Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) framework to build long-term, trust-based partnerships.
- Technical Expertise & Governance
- Tax & Accounting: Requires mastery of Philippine Taxation (CIT, VAT, etc.) and PFRS/IFRS, including tax planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance (BIR, SEC).
- Systems Proficiency: Expert knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks) and tax platforms (EFPS, JuanTax), as well as ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
- Compliance: Maintains strict adherence to data privacy, ethical standards, and internal control frameworks.
Job Requirements
Candidate Qualification Profile
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accountancy; CPA license is highly preferred.
- Experience: 1015 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in a significant leadership/managerial role.
- Core Soft Skills: Executive communication, strategic influence, emotional intelligence, and a process-improvement mindset.
