The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting support, tax compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures accurate and timely financial information to support management decisions and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilitie
sFinancial Accounting & Reportin
- gManage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets
- .Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- .Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
- .Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- .Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
.Cost & Manufacturing Accountin
- gOversee product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis
- .Monitor production costs, labor costs, material usage, and overhead allocation
- .Analyze manufacturing variances and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements
- .Maintain accurate inventory valuation and cost records
- .Support inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
.Budgeting & Financial Analysi
- sAssist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
- .Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances
- .Provide financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making
- .Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing and financial performance
.Compliance & Internal Control
- sEnsure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies
- .Coordinate external audits and internal audit activities
- .Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and inventory management
- .Ensure proper documentation and record retention
.Team Managemen
- tSupervise and mentor accounting staff
- .Assign responsibilities and monitor performance
- .Identify training and development needs within the accounting team

.Qualification
- sBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- .Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- .5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- .Experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management
- .Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- .Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Excel
