Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Head to lead our Finance and Accounting Department. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in hospital or healthcare accounting, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and internal controls. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial operations while providing strategic financial guidance to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting and Finance Department.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR, SEC, PhilHealth, and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger functions.
• Monitor hospital revenues, patient billing, collections, insurance and HMO reimbursements, and other healthcare-related financial transactions.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of hospital revenues, inventories, and operating expenses.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive management.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with department heads on budget management, financial planning, and operational improvements.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns, statutory reports, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by Management.
• Will handle 20 staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred.
• At least 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years or more in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Hospital or healthcare industry experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; familiarity with hospital information systems is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
