Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead and supervise the accounting team handling multi-store retail operations. The role is responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, managing payables, and maintaining overall financial discipline across all outlets. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with solid retail accounting experience and the ability to manage high-volume transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, supervise, and manage the accounting staff team
  • Assign tasks, review outputs, and ensure accuracy of all financial reports
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation for team members
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and deadlines

Financial Reporting & Sales Monitoring

  • Oversee checking, validation, and posting of daily sales reports from all stores
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of sales data
  • Review reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with store operations

Accounts Payable & Payments

  • Supervise processing of supplier invoices and payment requests
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all supplier payments
  • Review payment documentation for completeness and compliance

Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce internal controls for accounting processes
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and audit readiness
  • Coordinate with auditors and management for financial reviews

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Improve accounting workflows for efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain financial reports for management use
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience in retail or multi-branch business operations is required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical ability
  • Ability to handle bulk transactions and tight deadlines
  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced MS Excel

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing multi-store or multi-entity accounting
  • Strong background in accounts payable and sales reconciliation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Work Set-up

  • Full-time position
  • Office-based with coordination across multiple store locations
  • May require occasional store visits for audit and verification purposes.
