DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following:
- Management of accounting operations and financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis of financial results of the Firm's client;
- Oversee special and agreed upon procedure engagements and review of ongoing and ad hoc management reports.

- Perform or oversees the Firm's client accounting or bookkeeping function which may include but is not limited to the monthly close process, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, journal entry preparation and review, monthly reconciliation activities, payroll preparation and reporting. All to be completed in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP and Firm standardized policies and processes
- Perform, delegate and supervises agreed upon procedure engagement or other special engagement requested by the client
- Identifies areas for improvement in the Firm and client workflows and processes with an ultimate objective of enhancing and improving ongoing processes. Recommends and implements enhancements and best practices to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Provides leadership in the creation, interpretation and communication of financial results, issues, and recommendations to client.
- Manage the preparation of scope of work and budget for a client engagement
- Provides effective leadership to employees and/or teams through providing work direction.
- Interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training; communicating performance expectations & providing feedback on performance, recognition, coaching, employee counseling reports; creating and recommending career growth opportunities and employee development plans.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of research techniques and the various sources available
- Maintain accurate records of time and expenses to ensure proper client billing.
- Comply with relevant Continuing Professional Education Requirements of PICPA and/or the Firm.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of developments in accounting field and in client industries.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with client and client's representative
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting – Required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounting or comparable experience Required
- With a minimum one (1) year prior experience with a CPA firm or five (5) years prior experience with an outsourcing or shared service company – Strongly Preferred
- CPA certification or equivalent work experience a plus
- Demonstrate ability to apply principles of accounting to analyze and prepare financial information
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Required
- Ability to learn, implement and train others on accounting systems - Required
- Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic, client organization where a high degree of ambiguity and change exists - Required
