Job Summary:

The Accounting Associate is responsible for daily processing of invoices and month-end responsibilities. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of all transactions, including vendor management and reconciliation, and ensures compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Verify invoices for payment and match purchase orders to invoices before payment.

• Use computer systems to research vouchers, vendor numbers, checks paid, and accounts payable distribution.

• Assist in check runs and vendor account reconciliation.

• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and file them electronically.

• Respond to vendor invoice/payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Create and maintain vendor accounts and reconcile vendor statements.

• Ensure vendors receive accurate payment and timely invoice processing.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and applicable laws.

• Prepare and generate reports and summaries for financial data and management reviews.

• Assist in financial audits and internal reviews.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and maintain smooth operations.

• Support process improvements to increase operational efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting-related tasks.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable (AR) roles.

• Experience with high-volume accounts payable processing and invoice lifecycle management.

• Experience using accounting systems such as NetSuite.
